Why Join the Military?
The Military is the reason that America is a free country. The
military also pays for your education in college. The down side is that your
loved ones don’t always make it home.
Freedom is a big thing in America today because if it was not
for the military we would not be an Independent or Free country. For example,
if we didn’t have the military we would have already been taken over by ISIS
and other extremist groups throughout the states. America is also not the only
country saved because of our military, there is also South Korea. There is also
countries that the military is still working on such as: Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan,
Syria, Israel, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Iran, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and many more.
If you enroll into the military before you go to college
they will pay for your education when you get out and they will pay for what
ever you want to have a degree in. There is also more benefits like if you were
to die in combat, old age, or sickness the military will pay you family and
give them full medical coverage for life. Another benefit is you will have full
training on self defense and how to handle a firearm. When you get into certain
branches of the military such as the marines you will truly know the definition
of organization and strictness.
The risk’s of being in the military is that for some soldiers
it is a one way trip and they never get to see their family again and their family
never gets to see them again. There are also soldiers that make it home but
they have lost an arm, a leg, both legs, both arms, or maybe even all of their
limbs. People are always seeing these soldiers that are mentally ill and they
wont talk to them touch them because they think that they are weird, but they
never think to themselves that the soldiers were just like them before the left
to serve our country. These soldiers come back with mental damage but some
times they come back home with certain sounds that can set them off such as gun
shots or maybe even the loud bangs of a tables legs folding when the person
folding them slam’s them shut and those sounds could send the soldier straight
into a self defense state of mind and when you are in a lunch room and you see
people still standing and talking the soldier could see a war zone of bodies on
the ground.
I personally want to join the military and help keep our
country free and hopefully make difference in the world but also so that my
family can live a care free life safe and free. I would also be able to protect
my family and live or die knowing that I served our county not only for the countries
freedom but for my families freedom also.
